Selling in 6 Months or Less
I'm ready to sell my home, but "sell" just became a four-letter bad word. Hi, I'm Shauna Norris, broker-owner of Venture Group Real Estate here in Neosho, Missouri, and Joplin, Missouri. Today, we're going to talk about where to put all of that nervous energy when you are going to sell in 6 months or less.
If you know me at all or have watched any of my videos, you know that I value trusting your local real estate professional. But here are some things that you can do on your own to get ready to sell:

Do all necessary repairs. No one wants to buy a home with a honey-do list.

Take the opportunity to purge, donate, and/or sell. Make your closets look like they have plenty of room, make your garage look like it has plenty of room, and your pantry. Every space should feel airy and breathable. You're going to be moving anyway, so start packing up those items you don't need day in and day out.

Declutter. Think less is more. The more counter space you can see, the more floor space you can see, the better it is. It's easier for the buyer to picture themselves in your home with their stuff.

Organize. A tidy home just feels better. Everyone wants that lifestyle and wants to live that way, even if they don't. So, if they see it in your home, they're going to automatically think that your home is the place that can be a tidy home for them as well.

Deep clean. I like to encourage people to start at the very top - the ceiling, the fan blades, and work your way down. If you put love into a space, you can really feel it. Cleanliness goes a long way in selling your home, and this is a place where you should invest not only your time but also your dollars.
